Legalization of Cannabis for Pastime Use

I actually don't believe that we should take the stand that because it is much less harmful than alcohol, it must be legal. I believe that marijuana is harmful, especially to today's youth who work with marijuana without taking into account the consequences. It is my fear that legalization could mail the message to junior that it is appropriate to use weed as a coping mechanism. I actually do not want my personal children to get tempted to use a drug being a crutch, to relax or in the short term solve all their problems.
