Comparison of the Two Deuteronomistic History Types of King David

Comparison of both Deuteronomistic Record Sources of King David Both sources which can be credited with telling the storyplot of California king David are known as the Deuteronomistic History source and another source that is certainly thought to be priestly in beginning. The Deuteronomistic History resource begins the storyline of California king David in 1 Samuel 16: 12 and proceeds through a couple of Samuel until it concludes by 1 Nobleman 2: 11. The other(priestly) source commences King David's story with 1 Chronicles 11 and tells of his rise to power and reign through chapter 30. When we look at the scripture associated with both of these options, it is apparent that there are differences in the frequentation of events concerning the climb of David as california king of Israel and also in his reign as king. To start the comparison of these two diverse sources, listed here are observations that we have made regarding stories which have been present in the Deuteronomistic Record source although absent inside the other(priestly) resource. Also, the conflict involving the house of Saul as well as the house of David regarding who would be king coming from all of His home country of israel after Saul's death that may be in two Samuel 2 through two Samuel five: 3, is not pointed out in the Stories. Notably lacking from the Stories also, is the story of David's lust for Bathsheba that triggered an adulterous affair which precipitated his abuse of power that generated the death of Bathsheba's husband Uriah so that David could take Bathsheba to be his wife. This kind of chain of events, as well as the...
